Pazhassiraja Kalari Academy
An attempt to revive the tradition of a vibrant culture.
Overlooking River Baveli and the Aralam Wildlife Sanctuary is the Pazhassiraja Kalari Academy in Peravoor, Kannur district of Kerala.
At Pazhassiraja Kalari Academy we train in Kalaripayattu, the traditional Indian martial art form, provide the Kalari massage and help you experience the quietude in harmony with nature.
The Master
Sreejayan Gurukal is the driving force in running the Pazhassiraja Kalaripayattu Academy. His efforts in roping in the children and sustaining the academy has been indefatigable.
Having learnt Kalaripayattu for more than a decade from his Gurukkal Nanu Asan, he has been teaching students both boys and girls alike from 5 am to 7 am every day at the academy since its inception in 2010.
Sreejayan together with his Gurukkal Nanu Asan is actively engaged in Kalari massage and the preparation of oils for it.
